This website is operated by Alicia & Enzo Di Santo, performing as Velvet Rose ("we", "us"), acting as joint controllers for the personal data described below.

Velvet Rose is an independent artistic project created and operated by Alicia & Enzo Di Santo. Depending on the nature and location of each engagement, performances are contracted through trusted production companies or employers, in accordance with the applicable legal and employment framework. Velvet Rose is not incorporated as a separate legal entity and therefore does not have its own SIRET or VAT registration.

What data we collect

We only collect the information you choose to provide through our contact form: your name, email address and, where applicable, the date and type of your event, together with the content of your message.

Our web hosting provider also records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security, maintenance and technical operation.

Only if you give your consent, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel collect data about your visit to this website, as described in the Cookies section below. Likewise, if you play one of the videos, your browser connects to YouTube.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a possible booking — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To ensure the security, availability and proper functioning of this website — legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To understand which pages of this website are visited and through which channel visitors found us (Google Analytics) — legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act), which you can withdraw at any time.
• To measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited this website (Meta Pixel) — legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act), which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies

Our fonts, the short audio previews and the video preview images available on the Our Sound page are hosted on our own server. No content is loaded from third parties simply by visiting this website.

Strictly necessary cookies

Our contact form uses a session cookie and a security token to maintain your session and protect against automated form abuse (CSRF). We also store your cookie choice in a cookie named vr_consent, so that we do not ask you again on every page. Under the ePrivacy Directive and CNIL guidance, these cookies do not require your consent.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand which pages of this website are visited and through which channel visitors found us.

• Before you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and no data is sent to Google.
• If you accept, Google receives information about your visit: the pages you view, the date and duration of the visit, the page or advertisement you arrived from, technical data about your browser, device and language, and your IP address. In Google Analytics 4 the IP address is not stored: it is used to determine an approximate location and is then discarded.
• Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<identifier> cookies, which recognise the same browser from one page to the next and from one visit to the next. Their lifetime is limited to 13 months, in line with CNIL guidance.
• Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled: this data is used solely to measure the audience of this website and is not used to show you advertising.
• We do not combine this data with the information you send us through the contact form.
• Google may transfer data to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection. The processing carried out by Google is described in its Privacy Policy.

Meta Pixel (only with your consent)

With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland), to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited this website.

• Before you accept, the Meta Pixel is not loaded at all and no data is sent to Meta.
• If you accept, Meta receives information about your visit: the pages you view, the fact that you sent an enquiry through our contact form (not its content), technical data about your browser and device, your IP address and, if you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, data that allows Meta to link your visit to your account.
• The Pixel places the _fbp cookie (retention: 90 days) and, when you arrive from a Meta ad, the _fbc cookie (retention: 90 days).
• We are joint controllers with Meta for the collection of this data on our website and its transmission to Meta. Meta is solely responsible for its subsequent processing, as described in its Privacy Policy.
• Meta may transfer data to the United States. Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection.

YouTube videos (only if you start playback)

The Our Sound page features a selection of videos hosted on YouTube, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

• As long as you do not start a video, no data is sent to Google. The preview images are hosted on our own server, and the player is only loaded when you click the play button.
• When you start a video, your browser connects to YouTube: Google receives, among other things, your IP address, technical data about your browser and device, and the address of the page you are watching the video from. If you are signed in to a Google account, this information may be linked to your account.
• We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (the youtube-nocookie.com domain), which limits the cookies set for advertising purposes. Google may still set cookies or similar identifiers needed for playback and audience measurement.
• Starting a video constitutes your consent to this connection. If you do not want this data to be sent, simply do not start playback: merely viewing the page involves no exchange with Google.
• Google acts as an independent controller for the processing it carries out thereafter, as described in its Privacy Policy. Google may transfer data to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your choice

When you first visit this website, a banner lets you accept or refuse Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, with two equivalent buttons. Refusing has no effect on your use of the website. Your choice is kept for six months, after which we ask you again.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or with this button: Cookie settings

If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are disabled and their cookies are deleted from your browser.

Who can see your data

Your message is delivered directly to our mailbox.

Our hosting and email service providers process your data solely on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to provide their services.

If you have accepted the Meta Pixel, the data described in the Cookies section is transmitted to Meta.

If you have accepted audience measurement, or if you play one of the videos, the data described in the Cookies section is transmitted to Google.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Apart from the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and the YouTube videos — which are activated only with your consent or by your own action — we do not share it for marketing purposes, nor do we transfer it outside the European Union.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for the time necessary to respond to your request and, where a booking follows, for the duration of our professional relationship.

Enquiries that do not result in further contact are deleted within three years of our last exchange, in accordance with CNIL recommendations.

The retention periods of cookies are indicated in the Cookies section.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the French supervisory authority for data protection.

Language

This Privacy Policy is available in both English and French. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the two versions, the French version shall prevail.
