The story behind
Velvet Rose
Alicia and Enzo share a strong classical foundation, from which their musical paths gradually opened up to other influences. A musicology graduate and classically trained singer at the Milan Conservatory, Alicia performed as a soloist in recitals. A graduate pianist from the Pescara Conservatory, Enzo turned to jazz early in his career, performing professionally in the jazz scene for around ten years while also exploring pop music.
Their musical paths came together through jazz. Over time, they developed a much broader repertoire, bringing together jazz standards, French and Italian songs, bossa nova, soul and international pop. This openness, shaped by their shared musical culture and French and Italian roots, has become one of the signatures of Velvet Rose.

Over the years, Velvet Rose has developed an approach built around listening, musical connection and adaptability. Every setting, every audience and every moment gives the music a different direction.
This freedom allows the repertoire to evolve naturally while retaining the same musical identity.
